Neuropsychological Assessment/Rehabilitation

Neuropsychological assessment is the specialist assessment of cognition. It is used to assess for neuropsychological conditions (e.g. dementia) and developmental disorders.

Neuropsychological assessment is tailored to the individual client and involves a number of tasks that assess different aspects of functioning (e.g. memory, attention). A report is provided following assessment along with in person feedback that includes recommendations and strategies for managing any diagnosis/difficulties arising from the assessment.

Neuro-rehabilitation supports those with neuropsychological conditions and/or their carers to manage the impact of their condition. This may involve emotional and psychoeducational support as well as practical advice on how to manage particular challenges (e.g. memory strategies).
